The

said Friday that the organization signed a deal with Russell Athletic to permanently rename Rams Park, the team's Earth City, Mo., training ground and media center complex, Russell Athletic Training Center, Home of the St. Louis Rams.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Russell President Doug Kelly said the five-year deal will cost in the seven figures. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the newly signed deal, the Rams also agreed to rename the

Dome as The Russell Athletic Field for one day during the team's Dec. 11 Monday night football game.

St. Louis-based Edward Jones, an investment brokerage and financial services firm, owns the naming rights to the Rams' home field.

Dallas Kersey, Edward Jones principal in charge of marketing, said that the firm welcomes the Russell deal. "Calling the playing field 'Russell Athletic Field' on Monday night is a terrific way of launching a broad branding initiative between the Rams and Russell Athletic," Kersey said. "We think it will add to the excitement and enhance all fans' experiences at the Edward Jones Dome."

As part of the one-day naming rights deal, Russell will be the exclusive apparel sponsor of the Rams cheerleaders. The company's logo will also appear on all printed season tickets.
